Saint Peter Catholic School is blessed with an amazing faculty! That's why we encourage everyone to participate in nominating our teachers for the Monsignor Gerald Lawrence Lewis Award for Excellence in Teaching. The Lewis Award was initiated in 1992 to honor outstanding educators in the Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Raleigh and to recognize, promote and encourage teaching excellence.
The nomination period is Sept. 1 - Sept. 30.

Eligibility Criteria
- Full time K-12 classroom teacher in the Diocese of Raleigh
- Completed minimum of 4 yrs. in the Diocesan Catholic Schools
- Hold a current NC License, unless an individual teaches in an area that is not part of the State's licensing program
- Be planning to continue teaching in the Diocesan schools
- Be an exceptionally skillful, dedicated teacher
