Continuing the Momentum
Saint Peter Catholic School has made great strides in the past two years, creating a momentum Mrs. Alexander is passionate about continuing. Here are a few of the important accomplishments:
- Creation and publication of a strategic plan
- Enrollment stability and growth
- New math curriculum researched and selected for both K-5 and 6-8
- New middle school science curriculum
- iPads issued to middle school students for digital textbooks
- Implementation of Professional Learning Communities to improve the academic flow between grade levels
- The formation of a strong Advisory Council, along with the publication of a constitution and bylaws to guide the council. The council has committees, but ad-hoc and standing. Real projects were undertaken by all of these committees and improvements were made within our school based on these committees findings and efforts.
- An improvement in Catholic identity through having Mass on all Holy Days of Obligation, faith formation and service days for faculty and staff, and the implementation of Dress Uniforms for Fridays.
- Improvement in communication to school community
