Saint Peter Catholic School is extremely proud of its rigorous academic tradition as a school of excellence, following and exceeding the curriculum guidelines as established by the Diocese of Raleigh and the State of North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. In addition to Math, English/Language Arts, Science and Social Studies, Religion is a core subject in our curriculum and is taught daily to all students.
In addition to standard academic classes, all students take classes in Physical Education, Spanish, Religion, Art, Music, and Computer Skills. All students take these classes during the entire school year, offering continuous instruction.
Saint Peter Catholic School also has an on-site Learning Resources Center, guidance counselor, and instructional specialists.
Standardized tests are administered in grades 3-8.
Starting in the 2023-24 school year, the Diocese of Raleigh has announced a new plan for standardized tests. Please click here for details of the roadmap ahead.

- The Iowa Assessments (grades 3 – 8)
- The CogAT – Cognitive Abilities Test (grades 2, 5)
- Spanish 1 Mastery Exam (grade 8)
- Math 1 End of Course Exam (grade 8, by teacher recommendation)
- World History Mastery Exam (grade 8)
