Science Olympiad Team Advances to State Competition

February 25, 2018 --Congratulations to our Middle School Science Olympiad Team who competed in the Regional Science Olympiad Competition at ECU with nearly 1,000 other middle school and high school students in our region.  Our Saint Peter team placed 4th overall and qualified for the State competition in April.
 
Our students competed in a wide variety of science events from building towers or rollercoasters to taking tests on rocks and minerals or the solar system.   We are so proud of our students that placed in 17 out of 24.   Every member on the team earned at least one medal in their events!   We are especially proud of William Becker who competed in 4 different events and placed in every one of them!  

We are also very proud of our Saint Peter alumni.   Six of our team members from last year’s team went on to join their high school team this year and all six of them placed in one or more events!
