At Saint Peter students are required to participate at least twice in middle school and are encouraged to dig deeply into primary sources on a topic they find interesting. Many research and organizational skills are developed which can benefit the student for the rest of their lives. Students learn critical thinking, problem-solving skills, research and reading skills, and self-esteem.

National History Day

Each year, Saint Peter Catholic School students in our Middle School participate in National History Day®.  The National History Day Contest  encourages more than half a million students around the world to conduct historical research on a topic of their choice. Students enter these projects at the local and affiliate levels, with top students advancing to the national contest at the University of Maryland at College Park.

Projects who score high enough will be chosen to compete in the regional competition in the spring.
