National History Bee
Saint Peter Catholic School participates in the National History Bee. This competition begins in the classroom where five students from each class qualify to take an online test. From those 30 students some qualify to move on to Regionals in Richmond, VA on April 23, 2018. This is a very intense day with hundreds of students from eastern NC and VA competing in a Bee format. Several students qualify for the National finals which are held in a different city each year (last two were Indianapolis and Atlanta).
The students who qualified for the Regional Competition this year are 6th graders: Jude Kellum, AJ Gamboa, Gerald Reiling, Matthew Cox, & Jasmine Pandya; 7th graders: Jackson Powell, Jackson Schreiber, Riley Harris, & Will D’Alonzo; and 8th graders: Alexander Turner, Brighton Hou, Carter Lamson, Delaney Stanton, Ian Reiling, Jerry Cox, Spencer Jones, William Becker, & Will Sutton.
