Third graders of the 3D and 3H classes are shown launching their paper and cardboard jets in the video below. This project is one of a series of design and construction assignments that helps students develop spatial intelligence and structural skills. Students must make the component parts from basic materials, and then combine the parts in a way that creates overall structural integrity. Photos below show the Cross sculptures in the church on the day of the 8th Grade Saints Program, which was held on November 4th. The second graders rolled all of the cylindrical paper components and measured, cut, and taped the various parts. Students chose the colors with which they designed their crosses.
