The Plan for St. Peter Catholic School
Since its founding in 1946, St. Peter Catholic School has grown in faith and in numbers. A critical component to our school's continuing success is its very popular preschool, and our preschool needs a new building.
The current preschool modular unit, installed in 1986 as a temporary solution to the need for a new building, must be replaced because of its age and condition. The expected cost of the new modular unit is $800,000.

The next project in terms of priority is improving the Fourth Street entrance to the school. The concrete was poured in multiple phases, leading to uneven pavement and cracks. The landscaping's retaining wall needs replacing as well. The amount budgeted for these renovations is $100,000.
Other priorities include renovations to restrooms and classroom upgrades, specifically flooring and furniture.
The school also seeks to grow its endowment from the current $200,000 to $1 Million. The school is able to use the interest from the endowment for unexpected expenses, such as emergency repairs, that could otherwise implode our operating budget. Interest from the endowment helped pay for the costly, but necessary, security upgrades the school has installed over the past two years.
The total capital campaign fundraising goal for the school projects is $2 Million. St. Peter Catholic Church is simultaneously participating in this capital campaign with a goal of $1 Million in projects within the church and the creation of its endowment. As of March 26, the total pledged is $1,350,000, which represents 45% of our $3 Million combined campaign goal.
