Letter from the Principal
OFFICE OF THE PRINCIPAL
AMA NESCIRE ET PRO NIHILO REPUTARI
Dear Visitor,
On behalf of our Pastor, Fr. Justin Kerber, C. P., the faculty, staff, parents, and children of our school, I welcome you to our website.
This year we joyfully celebrate our Sixtieth Anniversary! St. Peter’s is the oldest private/parochial school in the greater Greenville area. Since being founded in 1946, St. Peter’s School (JK-8) has been well known for its tradition of excellence in Catholic education. Our school provides an outstanding spiritual and educational program built on a solid Catholic foundation—the saving Word of God as found in Sacred Scripture and the Tradition of the Church. Our gifted faculty and staff are devoted to providing an environment for the development and education of the whole child. To this end the St. Peter’s School community acknowledges that every individual is endowed with six potentials: spiritual, intellectual, aesthetic, physical, emotional, and social.
St. Peter’s School has been recognized for its excellence in education by the full accreditation of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). We were the first school in the Diocese of Raleigh to achieve this distinction. We are also a recognized member of the State of North Carolina Department of Non-Public Instruction. An even greater testament to the school’s success is the St. Peter’s Alumni who have gone on to become contributing members of our society.
In our love for God’s children and our passion for their education and their relationship with the Lord, we will continue to strive to be true to our mission, which is to “build the leaders of tomorrow upon the foundation of Jesus Christ!”
With best wishes for your happiness, peace, and spiritual growth I am
Respectfully yours in Christ,
John R. Fencik
