Accreditation
Saint Peter’s is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and was the first
school in the Diocese of Raleigh to be SACS accredited. Our school is also accredited by the North Carolina
State Department of Public Instruction and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Curriculum
Saint Peters offers an academic program made up of an extensive core curriculum. In conjunction with the
core curriculum, students, take courses in the fine arts, humanities, physical education, computer science, and
library research. Life skills seminars and a proactive guidance/counseling department contribute to the overall
development of each student in preparation for lifelong learning.

Standardized Testing
A standardized testing program for grades 2 through 8 is conducted at Saint Peter’s School. This testing
program includes:
ITBS – Iowa Test of Basic Skills (grades 3 - 8)
CogAT – Cognitive Abilities Test (grades 2 and 5)
Diocese of Raleigh Writing Assessment Test (grades 4 and 7)
Algebra End-of Course Exam (grade 8)

Grades 2 and 5: Sept. 26 "Practice" test (2nd Grade only)
Sept. 27-29: CogAT (Grades 2 & 5)
ITBS - Iowa Test of Basic Skills
Grades 3 - 8: Oct. 3 - 7 ITBS
**Testing will begin promptly at 8:15 AM. Late arrivals will stay in the office.**
