School Advisory Board
The Advisory Board was established to assist and advise the Principal, who in turn, is accountable to the Pastor. The Principal, with the Advisory Board’s assistance, will be able to provide quality Catholic education. The School Board:

Advises in implementing policies and regulations as stated in the Catholic Schools Administrative Handbook issued by the Diocesan Superintendent of Schools
Relates to the Pastoral Council. Therefore the Board will relate to the Council through the chairperson, if a member of St. Peter’s Parish. If the chairperson is not a member of the parish, the principal will appoint a board member who is a parishioner to represent the Board to the Pastoral Council.
Is responsible to the Pastor through the Principal of the School
Proposes policies, long range plans & ongoing assessments that relate to the overall operation of the school to insure quality Catholic education
Assists the Principal, or his designee, in preparing the annual budget to be presented to the Parish Finance Committee. Such assistance shall be subject to approval by the Pastor.
Gains support of various groups and publics for the school
Creates better understanding of Catholic education and promotes financial support for St. Peter’s School
Cooperates with and supports the principal in his role as defined by diocesan guidelines
Provides advice and support to the Office of Development for school fund raising
Assists the Principal in evaluating the maintenance of the school facilities
Assists in instituting programs to help increase the Endowment Fund at the school
Provides any other assistance to help maintain the efficient operation of the school, including but not limited to operations, instructions and curriculum
The School Board meets each month. The date is announced on the school calendar. Minutes of the meetings are available through the link below and also in our school library. Parents are welcome to come and observe the meetings.
